Overall, there are very little data on the environmental behaviour. In a comparative study of several nanomaterials, nanoscale copper showed a relatively good mobility in artificial soil.


High salt concentrations resulted in a reduction of the mobility, whereas in the presence of humic acids, a slight increase was observed. Only few ions dissolute from the copper oxide nanoparticles used [1].
