What exactly are nanoparticles? What is meant by “exposure”? When do toxicologists speak of a risk? This and many more questions regarding research on safety aspects of nanomaterials are answered here: www.nanoobjects.info
From 4th – 6th November 2015 the European Conference on Computational Nanotoxicology – CompNanoTox 2015 is taking place in Malaga / Spain. The conference is jointly organised by the EU COST MODENA action together with six different European projects (NanoPUZZLES, eNanoMapper, ModENPTox, MODERN, PreNanoTox, MembraneNanoPart) dealing with nanotoxicity modelling.
The main purpose of the conference is to disseminate the results and integrate the European projects focused on developing computational methods for toxicological risk assessment of engineered nanoparticles. The event will provide an opportunity for modeller and researchers from all areas of nanoscience and nanotoxicology to discuss further needs and perspectives in this area.
More information on the conference, programme and venue can found online via http://www.compnanotox2015.eu/
