Do nanomaterials affect pollinating insects? – New DaNa article is now available
26. March 2019
Pollen of contaminated plants or water droplets can be carriers for nanomaterials. Bees and bumblebees are potentially exposed to those nanoparticles, caused e.g. by the increased usage of nanofertilizer and nanopesticides. Do nanomaterials pose a threat to pollinators? Might they be one of the reasons of the insect species extinction? What studies have been published to this topic?
- The recently published DaNa-article “Nanomaterials and pollinating insects?” will enlighten this topic and can be found in our Cross-Cutting section.
