Here you can find Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and laboratory protocols generated in projects from the German BMBF sponsorship program as well as from other European research projects. A SOP template compiled in the project DaNa is available for Download.

The term “Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)” describes specific actions within a certain process.

The International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) defines SOPs as “detailed, written instructions to achieve uniformity of the performance of a specific function”. Frequently recurring work processes are described in text form and explained to the executing persons at hand.

From creation to implementation of a SOP, the following steps are always associated:
Documentation (for example description of a process)
Examination by a second person with signature and applied criteria
Information and training of those concerned
Change Management

 

A SOP includes a unique identification, a validity date or period, a version number, and the names of the creator, auditor and the deallocating person with the respective signatures. It should be clear who specified what and when thereby ensuring traceability at all times.

 

DaNa SOP-Template

On the basis of careful scientific practise, the DaNa project team has compiled a SOP-template for nano-specific application areas. In this section, you will find the DaNa SOP-template for Download as a Word document with important notes for filling in the SOP-Template.

Please use this Word-Document as your SOP-template. First you need to delete the blue instructions, then fill in the respective text fields and save the document in the PDF format.

Standard Operating Procedures (validated) & Lab Protocols (not validated)

In the table, you will find validated standard operating procedures (SOP) as well as experimental documentation (laboratory protocols, not validated by second person) with regard to nanotoxicology assessment from national and European research projects. The projects or the authors listed in the protocol documents are solely responsible for the content!
